Physical Therapy

When do you know if physical therapy is appropriate for you?

What type of physical therapist should you see?

How long will it take?

These questions can be answered by our professional staff of licensed therapists at NW Rehab for in-patient and out-patient services.

Physical therapy is a health care specialty involved with evaluating, diagnosing, and treating disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The ultimate goal of physical therapy is to restore maximal functional independence to each individual patient.

NW Rehab works to restore physical goals through exercise, heat, cold and massage techniques.

Our therapy is provided by licensed health care professionals who evaluate, diagnose, and manage the physical therapy treatment plans for each individual's needs.

Physical Therapy is useful in treating many different medical disorders and injuries as well as illness.  The interaction between a therapist and patient can help to restore movement and function returning patients to their prior level of independence.

The therapeutic exercise that NW Rehab provides centers on improving strength, endurance, balance and coordination.

We reach our goals by using Gait distrubance, which means to help in correcting any disruption of normal and rhythmic manner of walking, commonly from a limp or surgery.  Our diagnosis directs us in proper tranining, prevention and correction.

We also strive through our excellent understanding of Wound Care and Pain Management.  A wound is more than just a simple band-aid or dressing, it takes a clear understanding of the disruption in the continuity of cells, and what is needed for the restoration of that continuity.  Our therapists work closely with Physicians in helping to diagnosis and reach goals for a cure in these areas.
